A Short Article About Meteorologists

Well, today was one of those days where all of the networks were promising us snow, snow, snow. The day has come and gone and there is nothing on the ground to show for it. This got me to thinking. How is it that meteorologists continue to keep their jobs. They all have the reputation of never getting the weather right. Really, it is not even a reputation it is just fact. When it comes to anything outside of whether their will be clouds in the sky or not they simply do not know. What if this transcended into other jobs
around the world. Think about it:
  1. Action: Everytime a quarter back gets the ball he hands it to the other team. Result: Fired.
  2. Action: A physician continually amputates the wrong leg on his/her patients. Result: Fired.
  3. Action: Instead of the garbage man picking up your trash he/she puts it back on your front porch. Result: Fired.
  4. Action: A banker debits your account instead of crediting your account. Result: Fired.
  5. Action: A pastor reads from any other book aside from the Bible. Result: Fired.

See what I am saying? It simply does not make any sense. If anyone else in another profession continually did the wrong thing they
would be fired. Why are meteorologists immune to this type of action? Are they part of a world wide union? I think somebody needs to
get to the bottom of this issue.
